Now this may not be a top of the line machine but it is pretty adequate for home and school or even Small Home Office use. The neat part is that once you boot up the machine for the first time it would automatically install Windows XP after going through some preliminary steps. It even gives you option to enter setup and configure things but you are better off leaving the machine alone to do its thing and install windows XP or whichever operating system it is bundled with unless you're techie. Once windows finishes installation you can pretty much install anything you want.

This laptop has a unique and professional feel. It is made out of sturdy plastic instead of aluminium, however, its all personal preference. Windows 7 is a major upgrade from Windows vista, now imagine the upgrade from windows xp. Mac OS 10 is not perfect and neither is the macbook pro. Why do you think there is the apple protection program and the loading circle that appears a bit too much, plus so many updates? Compared to Mac O.S. 10 snow leopard, I would say windows got back on its feet after falling with Vista. And this Toshiba model compliments its operating system in order to call it the apple biter.

Toshiba definitely is pushing the performance/value equation to make high performance affordable. However, Tablets, Mini Notebooks and Smartphones are flooding the market for one reason......they're more portable than full-size laptops like this one. I grabbed my 3D CAD Modeller and took a try at redesigning the full size laptop platform that we all are familiar with. Goal was to make it more comfortable in it's enviroment. (Lap, suitcase, carry bag, etc.) There are several "flexible" consumer electronics concepts out there but I think my idea has one difference. My idea idea is a rigid, hard and durable laptop that changes shape to it's enviroment using it's own system heat. It protects existing flexible screen and flex circuit components better than flimsy solutions and just may allow laptop manufacturers to bring their flex screen technologies to market in 18 months, not 3-5 years as they currently project. See my attempt at the redesign Here. Thanks in advance for your feedback! Cheers.
